About Me

Lead user experience designer for Autodesk’s global eCommerce solution for over 6 years. I have over 20 years of experience in digital marketing, eCommerce, interactive & user experience design. I started my career in digital graphic design, HTML/CSS, and software/web production. My educational background is in product design & industrial arts.

I truly enjoy solving design problems in inventive ways, if possible. I always enjoy working with and on cross-functional teams. I’m especially keen if they working on something new or difficult. I like to create solutions that I can take pride in and that others will appreciate. I’m always seeking knowledge & information and I’m trying to learn new things and share it with others. Change, pivoting, or trying a new approach doesn’t bother me in the least.

My basic process is to understand the goal of the project as deeply as possible. Then ensure that it matches the user /customer’s expectations. Then brainstorm and iterate with the team on as many good solutions as possible, with the hopes, that one of them is great!

I always ask, can it be made better? Will users understand it? Will customers get it? How do we prove it works?

If the design requires something totally new, so much the better. But I still want it to be as simple as possible, familiar enough to be intuitive, but unique enough to hopefully delight.
